Handmade Journals with Vivienne Buckert-- SC May meeting

We will have a presentation by artist bookbinder Vivienne Buckert who makes one-of-a kind journals from scratch. She will be giving a talk detailing her bookbinding methods, as well as giving a brief demo as to how watercolors can be easily added into your journaling/sketchbooks.  She happily accepts commissions, working with people to create just the journal they desire, and striving to create a beautiful book!  A small selection of handmade journals may be available for purchase at the demo, or Vivienne will take orders.

Vivienne moved to Las Cruces two years ago and is an active member of the Artists of Picacho Hills.  Her journals are hand crafted for artists and writers alike, using high quality artists paper.  Additionally, Vivienne will include watercolor paper in her artists journals (when requested from watercolorists in commissioned pieces).  These journals are a terrific way to record travel memories; document daily life; or as a tool for experimenting with new and different mediums!
