Arlene Tugel will paint a striking blue pot and prickly pear on gessoboard. Did you know that gesso means gypsum in Italian? She will also talk about the challenges and benefits of using surfaces such as Aquaboard, Yupo, and watercolor board. After spraying with varnish, these surfaces do not require a mat or glass. Her number one tip: don’t put it away wet, it will smudge!
Arlene is a long time member of the Southern Chapter who paints mostly plein air in our beautiful mountain desert.
We welcome the public to come to our meetings and get to know us and learn about watercolor. Hope to see you there!
