November Paint Out
The November Paint Out will be on Saturday, November 10, starting at 10 am at the Botanic Garden of the Bio Park. It is located at 2601 Central NW, just east of the Rio Grande river bridge. Artists might bring a hat, water for drinking and painting, and a lightweight chair.
There are two conservatories (greenhouses) that are popular painting spots as they are protected from any wind, rain or cold. One of the conservatories is for dry/hot climate desert-type plants. The other is for tropical/humidity loving plants. There are benches inside. If the weather is pleasant, many painters will find a spot for plein air work outside near the duck pond, or nearby. After painting, the group often gathers for lunch in the Aquarium Restaurant, near the entrance to the Botanic Garden.
This event will take place "Rain or Shine".
There is an admission cost to the Botanic Garden - $10 for NM residents and $5.50 for seniors over 65. https://www.cabq.gov/culturalservices/biopark/about-the-biopark/tickets
(This is a week before the members' meeting on Nov. 17, and two weeks before Thanksgiving weekend.)
