    The January 17th paint out will be at Rio Grande Nature Center State Park, 2901 Candelaria Rd NW, Albuquerque, from 1 pm to 3 pm. (NOTE: The January Paint Out will be on the third Saturday because the regular meeting is moved to second Saturday.) The Nature Center is on the west end of Candelaria. Parking is $3 per vehicle (or free with a NM State Park pass). There is indoor space with views of the duck blind.

    The February 14th paint out will be at the City of Albuquerque Open Space and Visitors Center, 6500 Coors Blvd NW (approximately 1 mile north of Montaño), from 1 pm to 3 pm. If the weather is marginal, there are spaces inside the Visitors Center with large windows and great views of the Bosque; however, we will need to be courteous of the other visitors.

General Information - NMWS "Paint Outs" are opportunities to create watercolors outdoors/outside "en plein air" in and around the Albuquerque area. Paint Outs usually occur on the Saturday of the weekend after the monthly Albuquerque membership meeting, but dates can vary. Paint Outs are scheduled throughout the year and are intended to be informal sessions to allow members to meet up and paint in a small group at various locations around town. Most Paint Outs start around 9:30 or 10AM, depending on the location, winter meeting times often shift to 1pm to 3pm. Attendees will often get together for lunch at a nearby restaurant after the Paint Out. At least one of three experienced NMWS members will be present at each Paint Out and can offer some instruction to any interested member. Specific information will be posted prior to each monthly event.
