Exhibitions

One of the important *benefits* of Membership in the New Mexico Watercolor Society is the opportunity to exhibit your work in

Four to Six Annual NMWS Juried Exhibitions (most are for members-only):

 1) The NMWS ABQ Spring (members-only) Exhibition, annually in May

 2) The NMWS Las Cruces (southern chapter) Exhibition (members only), annually, usually in Feb. or March

 3) The NMWS Early Journey ONLINE Exhibition (members-only), annually in November

 4) The NMWS ABQ Fall NATIONAL Exhibition (non-members allowed), annually in October

 5) The Masterworks of NM Exhibition in ABQ (non-members allowed), annually in April

 6) The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Exhibition (members only), annual but dates and venue vary as well as our non-juried "Alternate Spaces" shows in various venues around the state.

A. NMWS Exhibitions

New Mexico Watercolor Society Members, Active and Signature, are invited to participate in our two annual shows, the Spring and Fall Exhibitions, by submitting watercolor works for selection by our Guest Juror, who also serves as the Guest Artist for our Spring and Fall Workshops. These Workshops and Exhibitions are held in Albuquerque, NM, typically at the Fine Arts Gallery at EXPO-NM (State Fairgrounds).Examples of Acceptable Finishes (5 upper images).

The NMWS - Southern Chapter also hosts Exhibitions and Workshops in the Las Cruces area.  See the Registration for upcoming events section and Las Cruces/Southern Chapter sub tab in the Workshops menu section. 

 B. Masterworks of New Mexico

Active and Signature NMWS Members are also encouraged to submit watercolor works to the juried, annual Masterworks of New Mexico Exhibition, usually held in April, in Albuquerque, in the Hispanic Arts Building at the EXPO-NM (State Fairgrounds) Click on the link below to learn more about Masterworks of NM.

C. Western Federation of Watercolor Societies

Through our NM Watercolor Society WFWS Representative, Active and Signature Members are encouraged to submit watercolor paintings to the juried, annual Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Exhibition, held in a western city on a rotating basis.
