SC FALL WORKSHOP opens for registration on May 21st!

Dyan Newton September 24-26, 2017 Southern Chapter Workshop

DACC needs your input!

Arlene Tugel spoke about the efforts of the Dona Ana Arts Council  in reestablishing themselves, and the visual arts, in Cruces as they move from the Rio Grande Theater.  It's very important to let them know your thoughts on the importance of the visual arts to our community, and to let them know you are a part of NMWS Southern Chapter.  Please email them at admin@daarts.org

Alternate Spaces

Be sure to submit your paintings to Alternate Spaces show that will run in the month of July at the Cottonwood Gallery @ SWEC.  There is no entry fee, and no commission taken if your piece sells.  The theme is NATURE, and all are welcome to submit! This is a great way to show your work in a public space and get recognized for your hard work!

Rachel plans on setting up an Instagram page and a Facebook page for our southern Chapter so that
we can publicize ourselves online to younger people (Instagram) and those a bit older with Facebook. When it's finished, if you are on either platform, please like our pages so that we can help spread the word. If anyone has contacts with art teachers in the schools/colleges, please send me their info!

Joy Calvert is soliciting suggestions from members on videos they would like her to purchase for our video library.  She will be purchasing them in May so they will be ready to borrow when we return in the fall.  Send your suggestions to Joy at  joycalvert47@yahoo.com
