SC May: Watercolor Collage and Swap and Sell (Sunday, May 10, 2026)

The Southern Chapter May program will be our annual swap and sell of art supplies and books (bring your cash and bags to carry your purchases)! If you have any art “stuff” you’d like to swap or sell, feel free to bring it along! We’ll have tables set up around the room for you to display your wares.

We’ll also have a mini demo of watercolor collage. Longtime teacher and SC member Laurel Weathersbee will demonstrate reusing paintings that aren’t quite up to snuff and transform them into collage art.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Please bring a friend!

SC September: My Artsy Summer (Sunday, September 13, 2026)

After a summer hiatus, the Southern Chapter of NMWS opens its new year with "My Artsy Summer", a chance for members and guests to bring paintings or sketchbooks they've created over the summer break, or speak of their art experiences over the summer. Members may also bring paintings that you've created after borrowing one of our DVDs to inspire others to learn more!

This is always a special and inspiring program to get reacquainted with each other and spark creativity and painting practice going forward.

We welcome the public to come to our meetings and get to know us and learn about watercolor. Hope to see you there!
