ABQ Holiday Party Potluck and Painting Exchange

The Annual NM Watercolor Society Holiday Party Potluck and Painting Exchange is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, December 7th, 2014 from 1-4pm

The party is also a potluck and will begin at 1 PM at the Albuquerque Museum on Mountain Road, near Old Town. 

All members and their guests are invited to attend and bring a dish or two to share. Beverages will be provided. 

For those who would like to participate in the painting exchange, please bring a MATTED original watercolor painting, WRAPPED in Holiday paper. Usual sizes for exchange paintings are 11 x 15 or so, though smaller or larger is OK, too. The painting does not have to be a masterpiece, but should be "exhibition-worthy". Each participant in the exchange will be given a ticket upon arrival. After lunch, "Santa" Steve Maize will draw those tickets from a hat, and each participant will have the opportunity to open a random wrapped painting or engage in a little good natured "thievery" of an already opened painting. Any given painting may be "stolen" up to 3 times, before being "retired" in the hands of the 3rd person. If guests wish to participate in the exchange, the member should bring a painting for each guest. Guidelines will be explained further on the day of the party. Regardless, if you bring a painting, you are guaranteed to take home an original watercolor painting from a fellow and it's great FUN!!.
