The New Mexico Watercolor Society-Southern Chapter sponsors one or two workshops per year in Las Cruces. These workshops are
often taught either by local well-known artists or by the jurors that have been invited to evaluate our exhibit in the spring
each year.
Recent workshops have been taught by: Dorothy Peterson, Bill Bissell and Sally Quillin.
When we start accepting applications, Workshop application forms are posted on our web site. Most workshops are 2 to 3 full days.
Members of the New Mexico Watercolor Society-SC have first priority for registrations.
Information concerning workshops may be obtained from Marie Siegrist at msiegrist@zianet.com
or by phone at 575 647-1193.
We are now accepting applications for our Spring Workshop. This show is open first to members of the New Mexico Watercolor
Society-SC. If not filled by mid-February, the workshop will be opened to other area artists.
Our instructor for this workshop is David Rothermel, well-known for his gorgeous skies and use of acrylics as watermedia.
You can view his works and a statement by the artist at www.david-rothermel.com.
Rothermel’s workshop will be at the Mesilla Park Recreation & Community Center for two-days, April 14th and 15th.
