This show again demonstrated the growth of the Southern Chapter. Our Spring 2009 Exhibition was held in the Shannon
Room of the Branigan Cultural Center in downtown Las Cruces in April 2009. Juror/judge for this show was Bill Rakocy,
renowned artist and author, of El Paso. Mr. Rakocy offered critiques to any interested entrant as did previous judges.
Thirty-four paintings were chosen to hang in the show, representing the work of twenty-two artists. Seven winners were
awarded in the judging and an eighth was voted Viewers’ Choice by those attending the reception on Friday, April 3.
