MARTY P. LOSCERBO studied fine arts at the University of Texas in Austin, but she put her own art on hold to raise a family. She began painting again in the late '80s, after moving to New Mexico. She credits the state--its wonderful color, light, and natural shapes--with inspiring her to return to the paintbox. Since then, painting has become her passion.

She attends workshops all over the Southwest. In addition, Marty has made several trips to France and England to study with painters there. Her work has appeared in major juried shows, and many of her paintings are now part of private collections throughout her part of the country.
