The basic New Mexico Watercolor Society memberships - active, student, associate, or patron - entitles you to membership privileges for one year. These include free access to most general meetings and social events sponsored by the Society, preferred discounts on art supplies at most local art supply stores, an annual subscription to the NMWS Brushstrokes newsletter, the opportunity to purchase discount supplies through the Society, and the opportunity to share the information available through the NMWS library of current art books/publications, videos and slide presentations.

Most of all, you will have the opportunity to display your artistic talents in Society sponsored exhibits, participate in workshops to explore new ideas and help your work grow, and share in the camaraderie of other artists who share your interests.

Membership status

Active Member - all active watermedia painters are eligible upon payment of dues, with full voting privileges and society benefits.

Student Member - all persons must be full-time students in established academic programs.

Signature Member - this membership status is achieved when an active member has been accepted into five NMWS juried shows and allows the member to use the NMWS initials with their signature on their paintings.

Associate Member - friends of the Society, patrons of art and non-painters are eligible.

Patron Member - all persons interested in the promotion of the NMWS through contributions are considered patrons.

Honorary Member - honorary membership may be granted at the discretion of the Board of Directors to any person who has made a significant contribution to the Society or the Arts.
